Description

A homemade version of the classic one-pot meal featuring ground beef, pasta, and a creamy, cheesy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (or any small pasta)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (if needed)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour in beef broth and milk, then add the uncooked pasta. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

📌For a creamier version, add 1/4 cup sour cream or cream cheese.

📌Use ground turkey or plant-based meat for a healthier alternative.

📌Add chopped vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor.
