Description
A classic American side dish made with green beans, creamy mushroom sauce, and crispy fried onions. Perfect for holiday dinners.

- 1 lb fresh green beans (trimmed and cut)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz )
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp soy sauce (optional)
- 1/2 cups crispy fried onions
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the green beans for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, black pepper, salt, and soy sauce (if using).
- Add the cooked green beans to the mixture and stir well to coat.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle half of the crispy fried onions on top.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from the oven.
- Add the remaining fried onions and shredded cheddar cheese (if using).
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
📌For a fresher taste, use homemade mushroom sauce instead of canned soup.
📌Frozen green beans can be used instead of fresh ones; just thaw and drain before cooking.
