- 1/2 cup onion (finely chopped)
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper (finely chopped)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup

Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
- Optionally, butter the buns and toast them on a skillet for added flavor.
- Spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture onto the buns and serve warm.
Notes
📌For a spicier kick, add a dash of hot sauce or red pepper flakes.
📌Ground turkey or plant-based meat can be used as a substitute for a healthier version.
